Einen Koffer in jeder Hand, dazu eine Gitarre- so kam REIDAR JENSEN vor fast 40 Jahren aus dem idyllischen Bergen in Norwegen nach Deutschland. Er blieb erst einmal in Bielefeld hängen, trat dort mit eigenen Songs im berüchtigten „Bunker“ und auf Festivals in der Region auf. Schnell war er mitten drin in der Folk- und Liedermacherszene, in der auch Musiker wie Hannes Wader spielten.

REIDAR JENSEN hat in all den Jahren seine Gitarre nie an den Nagel gehängt, produktiv eigene Songs geschrieben. Im Saerbecker Reality Studio entstand 2008 mit „Accomodate You“ eine CD, auf der die musikalischen Wurzeln von Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen bis Johnny Cash noch deutlich zu spüren waren. Diese CD ließ bereits national und international aufhorchen.

Für seine neue CD „Exit“ konnte REIDAR JENSEN die langjährig erfahrenen Musiker und Produzenten Detlef Blanke und Richie Arndt gewinnen. Eingespielt im Delmenhorster d-tone Studio von Detlef Blanke ist sie ein autobiographisch bestimmtes Album. Die einzelnen Songs zeichnen sich musikalisch und textlich durch große Tiefe und starke Ausdruckskraft aus. Arrangements und instrumental Saitenkünste erzeugen in Verbindung mit der markanten Stimme von REIDAR JENSEN bei „Exit“ eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre. Man hört sich die Musik an und sie lässt einen nicht mehr los. Sie offenbart ihr Geheimnis dem aufmerksamen Zuhörer - große Authentizität und Natürlichkeit. Aber bei allem Tiefgang kommt auch der unterhaltsame Part nicht zu kurz.

With a suitcase in each hand, plus his guitar, REIDAR JENSEN arrived in Germany nearly 40 years ago after having left his idyllic home town of Bergen in Norway. He initially settled in Bielefeld where he regularly performed his own songs and music in the notorious "Bunker" and also in regional music festivals. He quickly established himself as a part of the Folk Music and singer - song writer community in company with other German musicians including Hannes Wader.

During these formative years REIDAR never put his guitar away and continued writing his own songs; his first CD "Accommodate You", produced at the Reality Studio in 2008, was well received in Germany and abroad. This CD showed a likeness for the musical roots of such greats as Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Johnny Cash.

For his new CD "Exit", REIDAR has worked with the musicians and producers Detlef Blanke and Richie Arndt, both of whom have a long and successful track record in the music business. This album, recorded in Detlef´s d-tone studios in Delmenhorst, displays a significant autobiographical pattern. The remarkable features of the various songs from a musical and lyrical perspective are their depth and strong expressiveness. In particular the string sections, complemented by Reidar´s distinctive voice, create a special atmosphere on the "Exit" album, which despite the depth does not reduce the entertainment value. One keeps listening to the music which will not go off your mind. It opens up its secrets to the attentive listener with its high proportion of authenticity and genuineness.
